This might seem overkill but actually recording the audio of somebody giving an audio guided tour of an exhibition or space need not be a complex or time-consuming affair. Keep it informative, light and descriptive. Use a clear microphone or sound recorder and make sure that there is as little background noise during the recording as possible.
If you can offer devices for people to listen to the recording on then great! But if not you could upload it to SoundCloud, embed it on your website and put up signs inviting people to stream it on their smartphones as they walk around the space.
